Aafiyah's Newborn Session

Little Aafiyah was an absolute dream to work with. Her session was filled with a lot of color and a lot of expressions. Her loving, Pakistani family were absolutely over the moon, welcoming their daughter into the world with lots of love and care. 

Her sweet mother had such a kind demeanor and I enjoyed chatting with her as I set up and photographed her little one. It really warmed my heart when she mentioned that she decided to go with me because of how colorful my photography is and how diverse culturally they are. I absolutely love color and culture. It is absolutely everything to me to make the photos sentimental to the families. She asked me to include her gorgeous, handmade wedding veil in the photos with the baby and I happily obliged. The red veil was stunning and very heavy with such incredible detailed embroidery. I can't imagine how amazing this beautiful mother looked in it on her wedding day. 

Aafiyah happily slept through most of her session, curling her little arms up to her chest that held her tiny bracelets, gifts from her grandparents. Her sweet little delicate face looked absolutely adorable with all the different setups. 

When we got to the parent shots, she decided it was time to be awake and she was hungry so all of her wide open expressions are because we were desperately trying to feed her in between shots. It was quite a teamwork experience and I am so glad we were able to get the shots that were needed.
