Gianna's Fairy Style Newborn Session

This fairy newborn session took my creativity to a whole different level! Gianna's sweet mom, Monae, had come in for her maternity session and had wanted to do a fairy-styled newborn session for her baby girl when she arrived. I had a couple of weeks to prepare so I went scouring the internet for wings to use for this session. I ordered a few and they came in and I looked at them and I thought to myself "These really just aren't what I had in mind." So, I sent them back and ordered one more set. 

I got them in and I spray painted sage green because I was envisioning lots of natural-looking greenery. I was still not quite convinced this was what I wanted to I went looking more on the internet and saw some cute ones with no way to buy them. That's when I thought to myself, I have wire, some cute lace. I could probably make something. I spent a whole evening crafting up different fairy wings. It was fun! 

All in all, this turned into quite the adorable, fairy tale princess styled session. Sweet little Gianna did so well. She slept through most of the session, gave me a few tiny smiles as you can see in some of the photos, and had perfect skin like a baby doll. 

I loved her green butterfly setup, the setup with the moss, mushrooms, and lace newborn wings, and the pink heart bowl setup with flowers. She also looked gorgeous in the lavender setup with her chin on her hands and her little purple crown! Gah, isn't she just adorable?!? and the little bed with the pink princess dress. I mean, she honestly couldn't get any cuter. 

After a little coaxing, her gorgeous mama got in a few photos as well and I loved how they turned out. Those simple mom-and-baby poses are just the cutest. I hope she treasures these adorable photos.
