Haimy's Maternity Session in Duluth, GA

Maternity sessions are the perfect way to capture the bond between mother and child and family and child before the baby is born. Haimy's outdoor maternity session at McDaniel Farm Park captured just that! With the beautiful golden hour light, her husband, 5-year-old daughter, and four stunning dresses, this session was one for the books.

Haimy, an expectant mother, arrived at McDaniel Farm Park with her family in tow. The park is just now blooming with its springtime greenery and the light green budding leaves on the trees provided the perfect backdrop for the photoshoot. The golden hour light added a magical touch to the already stunning scenery.

For her session, Haimy brought her own yellow dress with a frilly collar and a blue dress with a long train. She also borrowed two studio dresses, a coral throwing dress with a long silk chiffon train, and a mermaid-style burgundy dress.

Each dress provided a unique look and feel to the session. One of my favorite photos is of Haimy in her yellow dress looking at her daughter. I love to capture the look between mother and child. The blue dress provided a stunning contrast and dramatic look for their family photos. The coral-throwing dress, with its flowing silk chiffon train, provided an ethereal feel as Haimy's husband gracefully tossed the train and ran to hide on the other side of the path. Getting husbands involved in the dress tossings are my favorite moments! They seem to really enjoy being a part of making their wives look amazing. Finally, the mermaid-style burgundy dress hugged Haimy's curves, accentuating her beautiful pregnant belly.

It was one of my absolute favorite sessions at this park and I hope to capture many more this year! The park is looking beautiful with the trees getting more filled out and lush every day, the grass bright green, and the gardens starting to bloom.
