Sevyn's Cake Smash Session - Suwanee, GA

Oh my goodness, time flies! I can hardly believe it, but I recently celebrated a huge milestone with sweet little Sevyn – her first birthday cake smash! I remember her newborn session like it was yesterday, all tiny and curled up in my arms. Now, she's a vibrant, curious one-year-old ready to conquer a cake! It was such a joy to see her again and capture this special moment.

For Sevyn's cake smash, we went with a dreamy blue cloud and pink pastel theme. It was the perfect combination of whimsical and girly, and it created such a beautiful backdrop for her sugary adventure. I set up the studio with fluffy blue "clouds" and splashes of soft pink, creating a light and airy atmosphere. It was a pastel paradise!

And then, the star of the show arrived – Sevyn and her adorable cake! She did so well with her parents. She had the cutest smiles with them! Then, I gave her some toys to play with and a cute little chef setup. We finished up with her cake which she had screamed for and then spent about 3 seconds playing with and started screaming. 

I was snapping away, trying to capture all the adorable messiness and pure joy. It's amazing how much personality shines through during a cake smash. Sevyn was so expressive! It was pure, unadulterated fun to watch and photograph. I love how these sessions capture a baby's personality at this age. It's a huge change from the sleepy newborn days!

It's so rewarding to watch my little newborn clients grow up and celebrate these milestones with them. Seeing Sevyn go from a tiny newborn to a cake-smashing superstar just melts my heart. These are the memories that parents cherish forever, and I feel so honored to be a part of them.
