Sorto Family Session - Suwanee, GA Photographer

Sometimes, the journey to a family session can be as memorable as the session itself. I first met the Sorto family when Gabriela was just a newborn. Her newborn session was such a heartwarming experience—capturing those precious first days with their beautiful daughter was an absolute joy. So, when Gabriela’s mom, Beatriz, reached out to me again for a family session, I was thrilled. But, as life often does, it threw a few curveballs our way, and I felt so, so bad for Beatriz. She had quite a number of family issues pop up unexpectedly. 

However, if this experience taught me anything, it’s that good things truly do come to those who wait. When we finally managed to coordinate our schedules and meet at Sims Lake Park in Suwanee, GA, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. It was a morning session and the lighting was beautiful!

Gabriela, now a bit older and full of curiosity, was such a delight to photograph. Watching her explore the park with her parents, giggling and playing with her older brother Nelson, brought me so much happiness. Her infectious energy, combined with the serene beauty of Sims Lake Park, made for an absolutely stunning session. I absolutely love capturing children playing in nature.

It was so special to see how much the Sorto family had grown since I last photographed them. The love between them was palpable—whether it was the way they watched the ducks at the water’s edge, or the sweet smiles they shared as Gabriela danced to baby shark in front of them. Each moment felt like a little piece of magic.

Despite the delays and challenges we faced in getting this session on the calendar, everything came together so perfectly. It was truly a reminder that the best things in life are worth waiting for. I’m so grateful to the Sorto family for trusting me once again to capture their beautiful memories.
