Tavish's Jiu Jitsu and Ocean Themed Newborn Session

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the adorable newborn session of little Tavish. At just 6lbs 3oz, he was a tiny bundle of joy who handled his photo shoot like a pro. His mama had the sweetest idea to incorporate a jiu-jitsu theme into the session as she is a bad@$$ black belt in jiu jitsu and I was blown away by how perfectly it turned out.

As soon as I saw the teeny tiny gi Tavish's mama had brought in, I knew it was going to be a hit. It was a little big for him and looked absolutely adorable. And when his big sister joined them in her own gi, it was a match made in heaven. Watching them together was pure heart-melting cuteness.

Tavish was such a good sport throughout the entire session. He was awake for the first part, opening his bright, adorable eyes and looking so cute with his sister, then he fell into a deep sleep.

Since his nursery was ocean themed, I created some neat digital backdrops for him that I added to the background that looked really cool and also put him on a baby blue and white setup with some starfish in it for another ocean theme.

It's always such a joy to photograph newborns, but there's something extra special about sessions like this. I'm so grateful to have been able to capture these beautiful moments for Tavish and his family. This is the 8th session his mama has hired me to capture and I love working with her and her babies!
