The Dobias Family's Memorial Day Weekend Family Session at Sims Lake Park in Suwanee, GA

When Jane reached out to me to book a family session, I was so excited! She's been a friend of mine from jiu jitsu for quite a while and I was ecstatic to capture her family.

I did not expect the park to be so busy but Memorial Day weekend plus some absolutely gorgeous weather meant that the park was packed! It was bustling with activity with people grilling out and playing by the lake. Don't get me wrong, the energy was fantastic, but capturing those perfect candid moments with a backdrop of serene nature can be a bit of a challenge with so many people there. Thankfully, a little post-processing magic goes a long way!

The Dobias family had two adorable little boys who were all about exploring the park and play fighting with each other, their ever-patient parents, the coolest grandparents you've ever met, and even a fun-loving uncle thrown into the mix. The love between these generations was truly heartwarming.

We started with some classic family portraits. I also managed to snag a few pictures with the boys making some seriously silly faces.

As the golden hour light cast a warm glow across the park, we wrapped up the session. The Dobias family left with a bag full of memories and, hopefully, some amazing photos to cherish for years to come.
